F*&K Elon? The Double Meaning Behind the FELON Badge | Liberty Labs Co
Share
We get asked a lot:
“Wait... does FELON stand for F** Elon*?”
Yes.
And no.
Mostly, it’s a quiet correction.
FELON started as an internal code — a shorthand between friends. A joke, sure, but a precise one.
The kind that lingers longer than it should. The kind that starts making sense the more you sit with it.
We liked the car. Still do.
The engineering is elegant. The design language is clean.
But somewhere along the way, the badge on the back started meaning more than just the car.
It started saying things we didn’t sign up for.
So we made a new one.
Not a Protest. A Redesign.
FELON isn’t about rage or rebellion.
It’s about separation — of machine from mythology. Of product from persona.
It’s for people who want to keep what works, but question what doesn’t.
To appreciate the object, but edit the story that comes attached to it.
It’s not a takedown.
It’s a reframe.
A Word With Weight
We chose FELON because it holds multiple meanings — and none of them are simple.
It’s a label society sticks on people it doesn’t know what to do with.
A name you’re given when the system’s done listening.
So we took it. We polished it. And we turned it into something else.
An emblem. A counter-signal. A clean, chrome footnote with a wink baked in.
Designed to Say Less — But Mean More
FELON isn't about shouting. It doesn't need to be.
It's built to sit quietly where the old logo once was — and do its work silently.
Some people will see it and move on.
Others will pause. Tilt their head. And maybe — just maybe — get the joke.
Or the point. Or both.
